This product is a new generation of high-efficiency, environmentally friendly chlorine-free and alkali-free liquid flash setting admixture. This product is a gray powder. It reacts chemically with cement mineral components in the presence of water. The reaction product is hydrated calcium sulphoaluminate (i.e. ettringite) or calcium hydroxide or ferrous hydroxide, etc., which will cause expanding effect. Under the constraint of steel bar and ortho position, a certain pre-stressing stress is generated to prevent or reduce harmful cracks in the structure; the generated reactant crystals have the function of filling and clogging capillary pores, and increasing the compactness of the concrete.

This product is mainly composed of grinding slag, silicon powder, silica fume, chemical compacting agent, etc. It can reduce the temperature rise, increase the late strength, and improve the workability and the internal structure of the concrete. It also helps to increase the compactness of the concrete, improve the durability and erosion resistance, inhibit the reaction of alkali-aggregate, increase wear resistance, crack resistance, and enhance the anti-seepage and anti-freeze performance. Therefore, this material is used as an auxiliary cementing material in foreign countries. It can improve the workability and water retention, and greatly improve the water erosion resistance of concrete. It is one of the materials that must be mixed at the outlet of the reservoir dam.

Silica fume (also known as "microsilica"), is amorphous and powdery silicon dioxide (SiO₂) collected by specially designed dust collectors after the oxidation of silicon vapor discharged through the flue during the smelting of ferrosilicon and industrial silicon. The average particle size of silica fume is between 0.1μm and 0.15μm, which is a few hundredths of the average particle size of cement. Its specific surface area is 15 - 27 m²/g, and it has extremely strong surface activity.
